FOR YOUR HOUR’S THERAPY IN THE COUNTRY
750 acres of farmland views with a physical, mental and sensory experience that lets you really feel everything
As a family that has lived and worked at Logie Newton Farm for six generations, we know how special this little slice of Aberdeenshire is.
There is the view that goes on (and on, and on). There are stunning changes of light through the seasons (most awe-inspiring in late autumn through to early spring). There is history in the ancient stone circles and mysterious standing stones at a Roman camp on the hill.
And it’s a beauty that has to be experienced to be believed.
So we’d go as far as to say our farmland vista is therapeutic in itself. It’s why we chose the hillside site of Kirk Hill on the farm to situate our luxury lodges and offer adventure, experiences and more right here on the farm.
But combining our breathtaking location with an authentic wood-fired sauna and cold water tub is another form of therapy that will take your breath away and let you feel every sensation (in all the best ways).
Spend an hour on our Aberdeenshire hillside and allow your body to remember how to rest

The sauna is located at Logie Newton Lodges, Logie Newton, Huntly, AB54 6BB. You will be sent directions once you have booked. It is situated on ground next to our lodge site and looks out over the rolling farmland towards Bennachie.
Is there parking available?
There is space for up to 8 cars to park next to the sauna.
Is there somewhere to change?
There is a changing vestibule in the sauna. There are coat hooks to hang coats and a shelf for other bits and pieces.
What do I need to bring?
We suggest you bring 2 towels, one to sit on, one to dry off. A water bottle and a torch is helpful if you choose our Sunrise, Sunset or Dark Skies session to help as you move from car parking to sauna.
Are there toilets?
Please note that there are no toilets on site.
How hot will the sauna be?
We aim to have the sauna up to around 80 degrees, which is an ideal sauna temperature. But if you prefer it hotter or cooler you can add a log or open the door for a bit, as required.
Is the sauna suitable for anyone?
The sauna and cold plunge experience can be booked by anyone over 16 years of age. Sauna is not something you just participate in if cardiovascular issues, low or high blood pressure, respiratory conditions, circulatory disorders, or are pregnant. It is recommended that anyone with medical concerns should consult a GP or qualified medical professional prior to participating. All participants need to immediately exit the sauna or cold-plunge if feeling unwell, faint, dizzy, nauseous, or uncomfortable. More information is available in our Terms and Conditions which you can view at booking stage.
