Booking and reservation

How can I reserve a stay at Logie Newton?

To reserve a stay at Logie Newton, guests can easily make bookings directly through our website by clicking on the 'Book Now' button. From there, you can check the availability for your desired dates, select your preferred accommodation, and proceed to the payment process. Once the payment is successfully completed, you will receive a confirmation email, serving as confirmation of your booking. We look forward to welcoming you to Logie Newton for a memorable holiday experience.

Is there a policy for early check-ins or late check-outs?

We currently do not offer early check-ins or late check-outs. This policy allows us the necessary time to thoroughly prepare the lodges for incoming guests, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Accommodation details

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in time is from 4:00 PM on the day of your arrival, allowing you to settle in and start enjoying your stay. We kindly ask guests to check out by 10:00 AM on the day of departure to ensure our team has ample time to prepare the accommodation for the next guests.  Thank you for adhering to our check-in and check-out times to help us maintain our high standards of service.

Are the lodges wheelchair accessible?

Our lodges are wheelchair accessible, allowing guests with mobility needs to comfortably navigate the accommodation.

While our lodges are designed to accommodate wheelchair users, please note that they do not include additional disabled facilities such as extra handles in bathrooms.

Is there heating and air conditioning in the lodges?

At Logie Newton, we ensure that our guests are comfortable year-round. Our lodges are equipped with both heating and air conditioning systems to provide optimal temperature control regardless of the season.

Whether it's to stay warm and cosy during the cooler months or to stay cool and refreshed in the summer heat, you can rest assured that our accommodations are designed with your comfort in mind.

Is there internet/Wi-Fi available?

While we encourage our guests to switch off and fully immerse themselves in the tranquility of our surroundings, we also understand the importance of staying connected. That's why we provide complimentary internet/Wi-Fi access throughout our lodges.

Whether you need to catch up on emails, stay in touch with loved ones, or simply browse the web for local attractions, you can enjoy seamless connectivity during your stay with us, allowing you to strike the perfect balance between relaxation and staying connected.

Do you provide bed linen and towels?

We provide fresh bed linen and towels for our guests, ensuring a comfortable stay.

Is there a cleaning fee, and how frequently is cleaning provided during a guest's stay?

There are no additional cleaning fees for direct bookings. Bookings via Online Travel Agent may incur an additional charge at the time of booking.

Our lodges undergo thorough cleaning on changeover days to ensure a pristine environment for our guests.

Any additional fees would only apply in the event of breaches of our terms and conditions.

Is there a guest handbook or information pack provided upon arrival?

We provide a comprehensive Guest Guide accessible to all guests via their personal guest portal, available upon booking.

This guide contains essential information to enhance your stay, including details about the property, local attractions, and important contact information.

We ensure easy access to all necessary information to make your stay with us enjoyable and convenient.

Policies and guidelines

Are pets welcome, and are there any specific guidelines or fees?

Up to two well behaved dogs are welcome in each of our Woodland and Bennachie Lodges. We have an enclosed dog area that you can book free of charge where you can let your dog off the lead to explore. We are a working farm with lots of wildlife and therefore ask dogs are kept on leads at all times (with the exception of when in the secure dog enclosure) and please pick up after your dog. Is smoking permitted in the lodges?

Smoking is not permitted inside or outside the lodges or around the stable area and farm. There is a designated smoking area away from the accommodation where we provide facilities for disposing of spent cigarettes.

On-site facilities and services

Is there onsite parking available?

Yes, each lodge at Logie Newton has onsite parking available for up to 2 cars. We also have limited overflow parking. If you require space for additional vehicles, please contact us ahead of your stay to arrange extra parking.

Can guests arrange for additional services or experiences during their stay, such as horse riding lessons or farm tours?

Yes, guests can arrange a number of additional experiences both on and off the farm, which are detailed on our Experiences page. While we do not offer onsite riding lessons, our Guest Guide (available upon booking) includes a list of recommended local riding schools. Although we do not provide farm tours, we are more than happy to meet with you and talk about our farm. Please get in touch to arrange a meeting.

Can guests bring their own equipment for activities like cycling or golfing, and is there storage available for them?

Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own equipment for activities like cycling or golfing. Each lodge features a secure storage shed for bikes, golf clubs, and outdoor clothing. Additionally, each lodge has its own outdoor wash bay area to help keep muddy kit clean.

Can guests arrange for grocery delivery or catering services during their stay?

Yes, guests can arrange for grocery delivery or catering services during their stay.

For grocery deliveries, please include your lodge name and Logie Newton Lodges in the address. If you would like the delivery to be ready for your arrival, please schedule it between 3-4 PM on your arrival date, and we will happily accept and unpack it for you. Ensure you notify us of this arrangement at least 48 hours in advance of your arrival.

For catering services, we have recommended chefs who can be booked to attend the lodge and cook during your stay. We advise booking these services well in advance as they are in high demand. Our recommended suppliers are listed in the Guest Guide, which will be available upon booking.

Can we charge our electric vehicle?

We have a communal electric vehicle charger at the lodge site.  There is a price per kwh charge and detailed instructions on how to use the charger in our Guest Guide. Please bring your own charging cable. Electric vehicles must only be charged using the dedicated charger and must not be plugged into sockets in the lodges, this is for fire and insurance purposes.

Local area and surroundings

Are there grocery stores or restaurants within walking distance?

While there are no grocery stores or restaurants within immediate walking distance, our Guest Guide (available upon booking) includes recommendations for local farm shops, restaurants, cafes and shops.

Thorneybank Farm Shop, located 1.5 miles away, offers seasonal homegrown fruit and veg, local meats, baking, and homemade meals. The nearest grocery store is in Rothienorman, 5.5 miles away. For larger supermarkets, you can visit Huntly (11 miles) or Inverurie (15 miles). We recommend guests stop at a shop on their way here to stock up on supplies or arrange for a grocery delivery service.
