Logie Newton
Awards and recognitions
Our Aberdeenshire self-catering lodges, with opportunities for guests to relax in luxury and explore and adventure on and around our farm, were born out of a dream of Louise’s long before Logie Newton lodges finally opened in 2024.
But regardless of her dream, we couldn’t have imagined calling ourselves award-winning and being recognised for our offering so quickly into this venture.
Yet this is where we are – offering luxury dog-friendly holiday accommodation or the chance to holiday with your horse with all the bonuses for humans like a hot tub and BBQ fire pits and being recognised for our commitment to sustainability, for our attention to detail, for the unique offering we provide guests, and for our entrepreneurship for the diversification of our family farm.
The biggest thank you goes to our guests, and our lodge partners and suppliers for making it all possible.

We are proud to have achieved the Green Tourism Bronze Award, recognising our commitment to operating Logie Newton Lodges in a more sustainable way.
From generating renewable energy through our on-farm wind turbines and battery storage system to using locally sourced materials, refillable toiletries and supporting local businesses, sustainability is at the heart of what we do.
This award reflects our ongoing efforts to minimise our environmental impact while creating exceptional countryside escapes for our guests. We are working towards completing the paperwork for upgrading to Gold.
We are delighted to be included in the final three for this award following our win last year. The winner will be announced at the Awards night in September.
We are delighted to be included in the final three for this award following our win last year. The winner will be announced at the Awards night in September.
We are honoured to have won this award during our first year of business.
From the judges:
"The winner stood out for its single-minded focus on one clear USP – brought to life with meticulous attention to detail. Its commitment to quality, outstanding guest engagement, and a reputation reflected in glowing online reviews. Add in an innovative and sustainable business model, and you have a real asset to the tourism offering of both the North East and Scotland as a whole."
Following our win at the Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards, we were delighted to be one of the five National Finalists.
We were blown away to be included in such a prestigious award in our very first year. It’s incredible to see our commitment to A-rated eco-lodges, renewable energy, biodiversity and strong local partnerships being recognised, and we’re excited to keep growing sustainable tourism in Aberdeenshire.
This list was announced in November 2024, when our Lodges were launched. To be recognised amongst such a fantastic list of women in tourism at such an early stage in my tourism journey was an honour.
